I was wondering when Clark was going to enter this discussion.
I'm also glad to see that we seem to agree. Chasing a "C" clarinet mouthpiece might be a good option for resolving the "out-of-tune" problems on most C clarinets, if it
were the only clarinet you played, and you did not use the C as a "doubling"
instrument.
However, to me, the disadvantage of yet another mouthpiece, reed, and
ligature setup is to be avoided. (I already have Bb/A, Eb, bass, and alto clarinet
setups, as well as alto and tenor sax. I REALLY don't need another!!!!)
Clark, are your barrels cylindrical or reverse taper conical?
