Hi Anne yes there are many Chorinho songbooks on the market now a days, as
the music is popular especially amongst the woodwind players here. Try
www.irmaosvitale.com.br they are one of the biggest music publishers in the
country. The song books by the Carrasqueria family (Maria or Antonio) are
very good.
If you want to hear a Brasilian Big Band smokin' playing Chorinho checkout
my homeboys "Banda Mantiquera" and their CD; BIXIGA. Their is a great flute
player Altimiro Carrilho, who has an instructuional CD which comes with the
sheet music (of course you would or have to transpose for the Bb or use your
C); try www.movieplay.com.br . I'll get you some more info. later. In Brasil
we send a big hug, have you ever thought about taking a little vacation to
Brasil?? What about Hermeto Paschoal...wow now he be the man!!!! Abraham
