If you did delete this perfectly innocent file, I want you to be embarrassed by
your gullibility. Why would it occur to someone to delete an operating system
file based on advice in a bulk e-mail originally written by someone they do not
know? If you received an anonymous message on your answering machine telling
you that the cylindrical object with a thick wire in your car's engine was
irradiating your children, with instructions on how to remove it, would you do
so?

I have one iron-clad rule that I tell to all of the people I support: Any time
you get an e-mail that says "send this to everyone in your address book",
DELETE it. It is a hoax. Every single time. If something is that critically
important, you will hear about it on the 6 o'clock news, not via an anonymous
bulk e-mail.
