Hello my dear clarinet list!

I'm a new member (actually on any mailing list...) who would need for some
help and advice concerning the use of C clarinets (and other small
clarinets) on the elementary level with small children who can't reach the
keys well enough on B flat. I'm writing my final paper for the conservatoire
about the subject, but I haven't found too many sources to get information
from.

If anyone of you has personal experience of such an experiment or you know a
good web site or books to find information on, please tell me. I'm also
interested in possible repertoire written for C clarinet on elementary level
- have found something but not too much. Maybe the problem is that I'm in
Finland; the C clarinets are not very common to see here (I don't know if
they are more common somewhere else...)

I hope you can help me with this!

Aino Salo

P.S. I hope I'm able to make myself understood... don't write on my mother
tongue and suppose that writing the same in Finnish would be of very little
help... ;)
