One of my friends was contacted saying that someone with the same last name
had died in a foreign country and they were looking for any living relatives
to give his fortune to. We prompted her to reply saying that she didn't
want the money, but her religious beliefs require the body for funeral rites
and would he please use the money to send the body back home where it
belongs. I don't think that went over very well.

I got something similar to the Nigerian Scam letter from someone in Hong
Kong. Hmmm. That's China now. I replied back something like:

"Treasured Brother
I have been having trouble with the new encription software. However, I
was able to decode your message. I hope this message is properly encoded.
The spies of the government intercept everything. I know the great risk you
are running.
The 24 boxes of Falun Gong tracts will be sent through the usual
intermediary. It will be hard to send explosives. I will write again when
we have made arrangements.
We will overthrow them.
Death to ..." and then the names of the premier & vice premier of
China.

I got a reply.

"You are terrorist. Keep away from me. Never write again."

Naturally, I sent a followup, but that was the end of our exchange.
