Amati has made some progress improving the quality of their instruments, but
they still have a long was to go. I recently bought an Amati C on approval
from WWBW. The construction looked good, but was impossibly out of tune
with itself. Back it went to the store. I've played their clarinets in Bb
and A, along with the Oehlers, with similar complaints. I really don't
recommend Amatis to my colleagues and students.
