Saying 'I will only play Buffet because all the
> pro's do' is, in my opinion, not a smart thing to say.

Uh Mark, I had purchased a set of Selmer 10G's which Gigliotti handpicked in
Paris and returned them to go with another Clarinet when I ended up buying
my Buffet Prestige set back in 1988. If I followed the herd I would have
stayed with the Selmers as that was what Gigliotti who was my teacher for 7
years was really, REALLY pushing. O' DID I GET SOME MAJOR HELL FROM HIM FOR
THAT CHOICE!!! But I play and pick what works for me based on my experience
(which is fairly vast at this point, and wasn't that much at that point). I
won't be sold a crock by Leblanc that their Clarinets play "right out of the
box perfectly" nor Selmer with their latest, greatest invention, nor Buffet
as a standard as the only standard for me is what plays the best at the
point of purchase and for me personally.

I was just saying that the Buffet is still the Marketplace Standard based on
Sales. There are many amazing Clarinetists out there and almost as many
really good models of Clarinets that they swear by. I'm a professional
player and choose what works for me, not what is told to me.
