This would be my way of going about making a choice also. I rely on my
instinct and saying a particular instrument "feels good" means it also
sounds good, plays good for me, in addition to how it "feels" under my
fingers. If I were to make up my mind before trying some clarinets out, =

may bias my own thinking and end up talking myself out of what may turn =
out
to the best choice for me before I start the selection process. It =
would be
very interesting to play on several different clarinets without knowing =
what
brand they were. To me, that would probably offer the most "objective"
manner of choosing an instrument if there is such a thing. =20
