Dan, I just read your article for the first time.

I just loved it. We never had any presentations like this at Oberlin
back in the 60's. I am going to go back and read it some more. It is now
safely filed away so that I can get to it easily. I have to confess that
I do not have recordings of many of the clarinetists that you mentioned.
I suppose that I am a "French School Bigot". I am now 57 years old and
trying to open-up my mind some. It is often "stuck" in a rut. I will
enjoy listening to recordings of many of the clarinetists that you
mentioned in the article. You did use the word "bright" one time. That's
o.k. with me. ANNIE
