While at ClarinetFest, I met with Bernd Wurlitzer and sat and played his =
clarinets. IMHO, they run circles around everything but the =
Hammerschmidt and Steven Fox's clarinets. But I can't afford them. His =
Eb clarinet was amazing. Not only did it play like a dream, but the =
workmanship was primo. When looking down the bore, the tone holes are =
invisible. No matter how you tilt the thing those holes are nowhereto =
be seen and the wood is mirror slick. They are very lightweight and had =
no intonation problems anywhere. An absolutely lovely clarinet in my =
estimation and it didn't say Buffet!
