Perhaps the players from these countries are using different criteria to
select their clarinets. Perhaps linguistics or a different ear??.....Or
maybe these players have all been brainwashed (like "all" users of Buffet
clarinets) into believing that the system they use is best.

I'm not saying that Buffet is the only choice. I never have. But...for most
professional players, let's say in...North America, Buffet has become the
top choice for a lot of reasons.

The Buffet clarinet may not work well at all in Germany, Switzerland and
Austria....the air may be too rarefied for the poor common R-13 to work
properly. :-)
