May I summarize a few points of the original discussion?

The question was posed: Why are most aftermarket products (primarily
barrels) designed for Buffet clarinets?

Two different answers were suggested:
1. Buffet clarinets need more help than other brands.
2. The number of people who play Buffet clarinets (I would limit this to
North America) is so much larger than those who play other brands that
those who wish to profit from the aftermarket products concentrate on the
clarinetists who own Buffets.

Question 2 could be answered with objective data such as sales figures from
the manufactures or even from large retailers like the Woodwind and
Brasswind. In addition, we can ask the people who sell aftermarket
products, like Clark Fobes.

Since many of the mouthpiece and barrel makers have personal contact with
many of their customers, they probably have a good idea of the distribution
of the brands they play. In addition, they would have a good idea if the
people who do not play Buffet are looking for replacement barrels and if
they are able to help them.

There may be a third answer to the questions posed above:
3. They are not.
