And of course, if we're going down that road, 'airpressure' is an
abstraction, too.

What 'really' drives reed closure is all those molecules of air inside
your mouth zipping around, and how some of them interact with the reed
in conjunction with the molecules of air zipping around inside the
mouthpiece...
