I am scared if you tell a student to do du-du. The may automatically place
the tongue to low on the reed and the tip of the tongue is not touching the
tip of the reed but just behind the tip of the tongue. I make my students
blow with the embouchure formed making sure to keep the air going and let
them tongue with the tip of the tongue stopping the air (vacuum feel). I
stay away from syllables and the like. Just my teaching style.
