I had an opportunity to examine, and work on, one of Jim's metal Silva-Bet clarinets.
When I got it repadded and working, I was very pleasantly surprised at how well it played. It was definately better than Bundy's, Vito's, etc. Quite a credible clarinet, nice tone, tuned well -
Familar only with the cruddy metal "Cavalier" type metal clarinets, I was very amazed at how good a metal clarinet could be.
