If I were looking for one, I would pay $200 for a Bundy that Bill restored.
I'm not sure that I would pay a lot more than $31 for one on eBay. To start
with, the typical seller knows a lot more about the case than the clarinet
that is inside it.
I am no shrinking violet on eBay. (Just paid $610 for a metal Buffet.)
However, I assume that everything I buy on eBay needs every pad & every bit
of cork and some springs replaced. But then, I count on being lucky and
that there won't be any serious problems. Sometimes there are. I have
bought horns on eBay which had just been repaired -- twice the sellers even
provided the repair receipts. But the horns didn't play well until I reset
pads, played with the adjustment, etc. One tech didn't even bother to oil
the keys -- some of the screws were already rusting in place. I am no Bill
H. in the shop. I am C+ quality, max. The point is, before you bid, you
should imagine how bad the overhaul can be.

No no no. Not unless that Silva Bet you own has grown into an Electrolux.
Silva Bets are great for outdoors.
