It's been many years since I lived in that area, but at least the towns are
still in the same places! You might try the music faculty at U. Mass
Amherst for suggestions - there must be a music faculty! And you could try
the various smaller colleges on the off chance that someone could give you
a lead - Clark, Amherst, Hampshire, Mt. Holyoke, and Smith come to
mind. There used to be a music store in Greenfield, but whether it still
exists or not is a good question, and I can't even remember its name any more.
