Although I prefer to buy instruments that I can see and inspect, I don't
mean to say that I think everybody on eBay is a crook, because I don't
think that. My own husband buys and sells old books on eBay. Several
respected, regular members of this list sell musical instruments on eBay.
They're not anonymously skulking around. They have (and care about) good
reputations, the same as people who sell in stores. For instance, Walter
Grabner sells on eBay. I'm not in the eBay buying habit, but if I were, I
would feel completely comfortable about bidding on something he sells. A
number of other people here buy and sell successfully on eBay. The problem
is that the crooks and the ignoramuses can mix in with the honest and
knowledgable people so easily, and can even take other people's words and
pictures to make the questionable transaction look plausible. I wouldn't
recommend buying on eBay to anybody who just now coming back to music after
a long layoff, who's new to this list and/or new to eBay, that's all. Just
be sure to study that market long enough to recognize some trustworthy
dealers, so you can be sure you're dealing with them, not with the shady
ladies and invisible men.

See, even dogs have more sense than humans. I'm making my stupid pet human
type this for me. She won't believe that her cl*r*n*ts can do the same
thing, since they're V-Beast larvae. She even says, "Oh, this sucks,"
while she's practicing, so deep down, she *knows* -- but she won't admit
it. Yes, I've seen her nastiest screech stick give me little looks, little
flips of its keys. It can suck the same as that detachable mouth on the
long neck of the V*c**m Cl**n*r Devil (the detachable neck and mouth with
such close family resemblance to the larva!), and it would like to catch me
by the tail, yes it would....

Sssst!
