I'm not ignoring your suggestion, I have asked around it's just that I
live in a small town - until a few years ago, there was only one stop
light - and experienced musicians aren't that abundant. Some in that
wind symphony I was in suggested someone that is a 3 hour drive for me,
4 of them suggested I ask here, on Klarinet, saying the group was so
large and diverse I was bound to find someone closer to home. Others
gave me names in Boston - and I'm trying to avoid that, not only the
traffic and crowds but also the higher prices. I also inquired at the
Thayer Community Music School, a newly formed part of Thayer Symphony
Orchestra - perhaps I was asking the wrong person, but she had no
suggestions. (Since I can't quite believe that all the musicians in the
orchestra do their own repairs, I'm going to attend their Open House
next Sunday and see what I can dig up.)

I've given myself a timeframe to try and find alternatives but, if I
have to, I will bring the Bundy into the local shop and hope it doesn't
come back needing more repairs (like my flute did). I want to be
patient - but not to the point where I put the clarinets away again.

Peace,
Martha E.
