I don't live in the east, but I was serious --- not just offering a
casual reply --- when I recommended talking to experienced musicians in
your area. The best clarinet repairman in my town is an amateur
clarinetist who has accumulated a complete machine shop and all of the
woodwind tools during his 40 years of playing. If you were to look in
the telephone book or to viisit music stores in my town, you'd never
meet this fellow; but if you talk to local teachers or musicians, they
recommend him above anyone else.
