Wow. I hope you (and everyone else who lost service(s)) have them
restored soon.

If we had lost water service here (NYC), in addition to the power, I
think I would have shot myself. Having to walk home - only 7 miles in the
92 degree heat - all I could think about was taking a cold shower upon my
return. If I had lost that, I don't know what I would have done.

I'm just annoyed now that I had to leave my clarinet in my office, since I
was supposed to have a rehearsal that night. I won't be able to get it
until monday when I return. It was just too heavy to carry on my back
over the Triborough Bridge.

So don't take your ability to practice for granted! Forces of nature(?)
may conspire some day to keep you away from your beloved horn...
