The cross-rhythms and counterpoint that emanate from Manhattan's streets in midtown -- in an
infinite variety of tones and timbres -- are among the most enchanting aspects of the time I spend
there every day. People complain about the noise of the city, yet there's music all around ... if
you bend your ear and listen with an open mind.
