Hello List. I am on the Board of Directors for a newly created
Orchestra in Queens, NY ( http://www.astoriamusic.org ) You can read
all about us on the website. We are getting ready to kick off the
season and also start a program with the youth in Queens (which some
of you may know is my heart to work with kids). I have been charged
with finding a repair person that could repair donated wind
instruments for free or a reduced rate, reduced rate or donated music
stands (not the folding ones), and beginning music books books for
symphony instruments that would be appropriate for beginner or
intermediate students.

I've placed called to a few shops and repair people I am familiar
with around the city and am awaiting to hear back, but thought I'd
tap into resources on the list. Compensation could include
advertisement on the website or in the programs, a sponsored concert
in your name, or something along those lines.

If you are interested or have someone who you think may be
interested, (especially in the NYC area) please contact me at stacy-
michelle@-----. Thanks for
listening.

"Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If
you
don't live it, it won't come out of your horn. They teach you
there's
a boundary line to music. But, man, there's no boundary line to
art." - Charlie Parker
