Eric, my other advice is to check out other manufacturers besides the
models that you mentioned in your original post, all of which are
Vandoren. You'll find lots of Vandoren on the shelves of most stores,
sometimes to the exclusion of other brands, because Vandoren has a
powerful merchandising setup. But you really should make an effort to
meet more than one brand. If you can't find them on a shelf somewhere,
the mail order houses will allow you to place trial orders and return
mpcs for a small service charge. You will be surprised at the
differences between brands.
