I heartily concur and would add that diagnostic ability, i.e. finding a leak
or what's out of adjustment is a vital part of what he has descibed. And of
course if you play bass you need to multiply the number of important
adjustments by an order of magnitude.
But Clark also writes:
>Cork will absorb water and turn to mush in a few months. Use cork for the
outside tuning ring only.
Doesn't this mean that there are a hell of a lot of wine bottles out there
that that need our attention RIGHT NOW before the contents leaks out? (I'm
willing to do my part!)
