nancy,

i don't think you can; i think that would be like making an a clarinet play
as a Bb. We are talking 458 for a high pitched con instrument; that's a lot
to reduce!! I'm just talking from logic, but if you can, i'd be keen to
know!

To those of you who are up on the physics of music:

Is it feasible to remake a high and/or low pitch instrument to 440?
Specifically, is it worthwhile?
