Hi. On my website at
http://michaeldean.ws/resources/index.html there
are some practice tips you may find useful. Also, last
year I wrote an analysis of the Missouri All-State
Music (also on my site) that contains lots of
suggestions that would be useful with the Texas music
even though they are certainly based on different
etudes.

Another idea is to look at different editions of the
etudes for ideas. Several are available at
http://www.vcisinc.com/clarinetmusic.htm. Best
wishes, Mike

TMEA
music for clarinet?

Lin,
What is the music for TMEA? I am very familiar with
the CMEA
(Colorado Music Educators) requirements for All State,
All City and many
of the tryouts in our local High School and Junior
High bands in
Colorado. This year it will be excerpts from Rose #8 &
#13 (from 32). I
have been curious if other states have the same
etudes. ANNIE
