Subj: [kl] Extra Trill Key
Date: Thu, 7 Aug 2003 10:26:31 -0400

I have just recently purchased a 1926 Buffet from fellow on another list
(Early Clarinet). It has an "extra trill key" which basically consists of an
extra ring on the left hand. It operates a very small key just above (and
slightly to the side) of the ring itself. Normal this spot is just a hole
on my other clarinets.

It appears that this extra key/ring allows me to play an other alternate
Bb/Eb. This now allows me to play Bb/Eb in 4 different ways: Side (right
index), chromatic, fork and now the left hand fourth finger ring.

Do I have this right? Is there anything else that this extra trill key
allows me to do?
