On the road as a school services rep for a music store, I have bent many a
Bundy back into workability without problems. Cast keys are generally used
only on SUB-Bundy level instruments -- the cheap no-name types. You will
now find them on the Chinese imports, etc.
Of course, there ARE no more new Bundys, as Selmer USA has phased out the
name. The Selmer 1400 is the old Bundy, the just-discontinued Selmer 1401
is the old Bundy 577. Current model is the CL301, which has a smaller bore
and brush finish, along with some minor keywork improvements.
