There are many brands of mouthpiece and I don't mean to focus on Fobes
to the exclusion of others, but if plastic and resistance both bother
you, Fobes does make an easy-blowing hard rubber mouthpiece called
"Nova" in the mid-price range. It's not totally 'custom' as the San
Francisco is.
