> Sounds like you had a great time, Annie. I agree with you on the fingering
issue. Weather you use the first finger on side fingering for F# should be
left up to the indiviual player.

I don`t think the weather has anything to do with how one fingers F# :</
But yes, whether one finds one way (side or front) easier than the other has
very much to do with how one`s individual fingers <work>; their ability to
be flexible; their ability to control; and dexterity; not withstanding
whether one can make one`s mind up in a millionth of a second also. But the
all important requisite is of course to practise both ways, (or all ways).
It is only then will one be able to come to decide how well the fingers will
work for that particular situation.

I must say I`m impressed with GRANNY ANNIE`s ever increasing interest, and
vitalic searching. She knocks me into the black hole of ever increasing dust
gathering on the surface of my clarinet cases.
I have been very busy writing for 6 months now with my project still
incomplete. I keep scolding myself constantly with the thought that I will
take my clarinet out of it`s case <one day> with the thought that I will
have even forgotten how to assemble it.

Thought for the day - "weather" it`s F# or writing - #Make your bl - - dy
mind up#.
Best,
Tony W.
