Sounds like you had a great time, Annie. I agree with you on the fingering issue. Weather you use the first finger on side fingering for F# should be left up to the indiviual player. My teacher Kathy is helping me with"finger training" and she has helped me with decisions like this, but still she leaves it up to me as to how to finger a said passage, I only wish that my fingers would hurry up and get trained sometimes.I still have trouble playing fast passages in our concert band music. Other than setting the metro. on a slow speed to get the notes and then slowly increase the speed, does anyone on the list have any suggestions, ideas? Or should I just keep doing it the way I am? It's kind of hard to believe that the summer's almost over, isn't it.Soon, we will all be playing Christmas music!!! Cindy
