I recently picked up a gig which entails playing
1st/2nd clarinet on Grofe's Grand Canyon Suite (too
bad I don't get to play the bass clarinet part).
Anyway, since most of the piece is in four, five, or
six sharps, I was wondering if anyone has tried it on
A-clarinet. Seems to me that it would be a lot
easier. Has anyone actually written out the part in
A?...no lectures that I should be able to sight
transpose it, please.
