A while back I purchased a compilation CD put out by Philips titled "The
Best of Weber." The CD contains Weber's Clar. Concreto's No1 & 2 as well
as the Clarinet Quintet.

The clarinetist is listed as Herbert Stahr on all three pieces. The
Concertos are listed as having been done by the Staatkapelle Dresden and
the Quintet by members of the Berlin Philharmonic Octet. The original
recordings appear to have been made in the mid sixties according to the
liner.

I've done a Clar-BB archive search on Stahr with no results and Google only
returns listings on about 5 different recordings on which he is listed.

Can anyone provide any information about him?
