i just acquired a buffet r13 vintage in A. It has a tea- kettle vent (one
that sticks out of the body) and a c#/g# tonehole that is raised out of the
wood. The clarity on this note is fantastic and the vent makes a fantastic
difference. Neither of these features are on the vintages in Bb i have seen
and since the vintage is mean to be a re-work of the original r13's, does
this mean buffet is putting these features on other top-line A clarinets?
