Barbara:

I see from your email address that you are in Canada. So am I. I can't
help you with Gonzalez reed strength but here's my experience with
online ordering.

Last year I ordered one box of Gonzalez "For Our Friends" reeds from
Davie Cane (http://www.daviecane.com/Pages/Home.html). With the abysmal
currency exchange rate plus shipping and handling costs plus GST taxes
and customs handling, it ended up costing me $55 Canadian! And then I
discovered that I got the wrong strength.

I found out later that a better plan of attack is to order them from
Peter Spriggs' Clarinet Center in Penticton B.C.
(http://www.pspriggs.com/). Apparently he carries Gonzalez reeds and
does mail order, though I have not yet purchased from him.

Davie Cane and Peter Spriggs are both sponsors of the Clarinet Pages so
you can get to their web sites and other good sources via
http://www.woodwind.org (click on "Sponsored by" at the top).

There it is, for what it's worth.
