Christy,
It's ok but not brilliant. It has a couple of parts and we play it with the whole section. There
are one or two awkward bits with register jumping (it swaps down a couple of octaves for one note
a couple of times per sub-phrase) which is very nasty, so we leave out the bottom notes - indeed I
think effect works much better when they are left out. We play it pretty quick. Leroy Anderson.
It is pretty showy at high speed.
It is not great music but it is a pleasant crowd-pleaser!
