My one and only mouthpiece is the one I bought from him and there has been

Ben Redwine of the U.S.Naval Academy Band bought his business. You can
reach him at RedwineJazz, 1642 Cliff Drive, Edgewater, MD, 21037; PH

Ben was at ClarinetFest and appeared to have sold a good many
mouthpieces. I bought one of the new student mouthpieces (Excellente),
mainly to compare it with Clark Fobes' Debut. It is a fine piece of
work. I have a pink "Dazzler" (Leblanc) that I use for jazz. We are
working up "Sing,Sing,Sing" and I used it at rehearsal. I was looking for
something to replace the pink "Woodwind" that came with Pinky. I had given
my Debut to a student and needed another mouthpiece to replace it. I had
every intention of buying another Debut to replace the one that went to the
student. Ben's booth (I think it was advertised as RedwineJazz, Gennusa
Mouthpieces) was right inside the door to the exhibit hall, so I went to
investigate. After a trial and brief discussion, I purchased one and
brought it home to use on the "Dazzler". It turned a student horn into a
very good show clarinet. I use a Legere #3 reed and a Bonade inverted
ligature with Pinky's set-up. The set-up is a keeper. The Excellente is
as good a mouthpiece as the Debut. Ben claims to use one when he has to
march with the band. With it's arrival, we now have "Three Student
Mouthpieces" - the Hite "Premiere"; the Fobes "Debut" and the Gennusa
"Excellente".
