Subj: [kl] The Meeting of the K list for lunch at U of U
Date: Wed, 23 Jul 2003 15:57:41 -0400

So they left it to the anitic to report on The Meeting of the K list at the
downstairs venue of the local favorite U of U pizza restaurant. Everyone
seemed to enjoy meeting, face to face, the list contributors. Everyone also
seemed to support Marc's willingness to add yet another list, one that is
monitored - without out a heavy hand - using three monitors. He expected
there would probably be just a few entries per day. Stuff like a three pages
of quoted thread preceded with Right On, or Excrementissimo, will be
mercifully opted out. Private responses will have the same fate. If I ever
actually buy a lottery ticket, and it should have the winning number for
enough money to retire in style, I'll hire someone to monitor the list for
me. If I had to spend my time mining through 50-60 e-mails of dross per day
on two computers for clarinet pearls, I'd sooner go up highway 49 with a
sluice pan and sit in the American River, or walk along it's bank looking
for jade. The chance of finding gold ore and gemstone is about the same as
pearl fishing. Tony's tag lines are gems.
I don't doubt Marc is working on the project right now.
