Sean,
I like your clarification -but it does remind me of fundamentalist
preaching, as in "the only true serialism is MY serialism. No one else is
serial enough." The next step will be (if not already done) to serialize
the page numbers.

And you are quite right about Aaron Jay Kernis. Anyone on the
list who has not listened to his music should find some and spend a little
time with it.
