Closet horns score big bucks on eBay! Actually, mine had spent about 15
years in a closet, too, before I got it, after a life that included
marching band use! That dark honey colored lacquer is highly prized. They
used gold-colored lacquer when they refinished mine, so it has the vintage
look. In fact, it was done in the shop at the music store where I now work!

I does seem a shame that your fine sax sits in a closet unused,
though. You should probably convert it to cash, buy a nice intermediate
sax, like a Yamaha YAS-52 or Allegro (select dealers only), that you can
really play, and party on the difference! Heck, you might be able to buy a
new CLARINET on the difference!
