that was not bad on my student instrument years ago.

I didn't know VA won't allow you to try mpcs. The
last time I tried out mouthpieces at a local strore
was in 1997 at Foxes Music in Falls Church, VA. They
let me try out JD Hite and Vandoren mpcs as long as I
played with a mpc patch. I'd suggest calling around
to see if any one would "bend" on this policy. If
not, I would suggest the following stores in no
particular order: WW&BW (IN), Muncy Winds (NC), and
Weiner's Music (NY).

I highly recommend playing on a patch and a non-metal
ligature during mpc trials-insurance against tooth
marks and lig scatches.
