The second of the two I own (bought many years ago), when looked at
closely, was VISIBLY bad. The point where the curve starts was extremely
sharp, as if not finished properly. The mouthpiece was much harder to play
than the one I had already. I should have sent it back, but did not. I
put it on a piece of sandpaper and gave it a couple of scrapes to smooth
that sharp break off. Beginners luck was in effect. I cannot tell the two
apart now.
