Kimber,
I, too, use the Rubank book. I agree, it could be a lot more fun with
another player doing the duets. I should be looking for a teacher , too. But
with two children in college it will have to wait. In the mean time it is
just practice and practice. I did, however, rope one of my daughters good
friends into playing with me which forces me to play it right. She is a very
good flute player but she too, will be off to college at the end of the
summer. We are going to have a Mini concert and force all family members to
attend at the end of summer. I am sure that no Klarinet List members live in
Delaware but I extend the invitation to them too. they can even play. We
might even charge them money to offset the cost of the sheet music. (not
really).
Stay with it. don't take a thirty year break like I did. Not a good idea
