How can they say they're and "Equal Opportunity Employer" if they only let
the highly qualified apply. That certainly shuts me out.

I love how they wrote this: it's pure Personnel Department. "Only highly
qualified applicants should apply"? Do they expect some guy who plays his
squeaks off-key in the subway to walk in and ask for audition time?

Seriously--if a resume is involved, who evaluates the resumes and on what
bases? Where the person trained? Conservatory or college background? His
or her private teachers? Where this person has played before? Direct
experience with operatic repertoire, and in what level of company? All of
the above?

I knew about Morales going to Philadelphia. Who's the other
possibility? Rabbai? Ognibene? The person who was hired to replace Sean
Osborn? A hell of a plum job, whatever it is: you get to sit in the middle
and watch gallons of sweat pour off Valery Gergiev:-).
