I love how they wrote this: it's pure Personnel Department. "Only highly=20
qualified applicants should apply"? Do they expect some guy who plays his=

squeaks off-key in the subway to walk in and ask for audition time?

Seriously--if a resume is involved, who evaluates the resumes and on what=20
bases? Where the person trained? Conservatory or college background? His=
=20
or her private teachers? Where this person has played before? Direct=20
experience with operatic repertoire, and in what level of company? All of=
=20
the above?

I knew about Morales going to Philadelphia. Who's the other=20
possibility? Rabbai? Ognibene? The person who was hired to replace Sean=
=20
Osborn? A hell of a plum job, whatever it is: you get to sit in the middle=
=20
and watch gallons of sweat pour off Valery Gergiev:-).
