Thanks so much everyone for the input...

I've tried the X00 X00 to XXX XX0 combination and can control it somewhat,
though still a deadly combination for any clarinetist. Was hoping for
something a little less burdensome for the left thumb... I think I killed
it. hahaha!!!

Also tried X00 XX0 to XXX XX0 to reduce the trouble coordinating the left
and right hand... There is a slight change in pitch & tonal quality of the
Bb, but the tremelo is so fast anyway that listeners wouldn't be able to
tell the difference.

If I position my thumb in a position that graces the surface of the register
key during that section, the jerkiness of the hand motion is enough to hit
the register key somewhat incidentally to make the Bb above the staff speak
without having too much trouble adjusting the embouchure (but that's just
me, dunno how you others feel about it).

I'm going to experiment with a few things, but thanks so much for the help!
I 'preciate it!

Of course your left hand thumb will need a bit of oil on it beforehand, with
a 500 mile service after you have taken your bows?
It helps to be left-handed in all things - - - - -

Hi, I phoned Stanley and asked how he does it. The way you said. That thing
he added was that one should practise it both ways so that embouchure gets
used to the jump. AG
