Selmer Series 9 E-flats can be had around $500. If i was in the market for
a new E-fer, i'd he bappy to sell my Series 9. They show up on eBay fairly
regularly, though. Actually, i've payed some Selmer E-flats from pre-Series
9 days that were nearly equal to mine.

Another option would be the Buffet E-11 Eb. I've only played them at some
of the conventions, but for the money they seemed like very nice horns. I
think they're about $600? Not sure on that.

i've played a couple of older Leblanc e-flats (from the 70's i think) and
hated them. I don't know about Noblet or newer Leblancs. But IMO, i think
a used Selmer or the Buffet E-11 are your best bet for quality-value.

I'm using one of the school's Ebs, and assuming I continue next season on
Eb, I will be looking toward buying my own. Suggestions for a medium
priced, reliable instrument?
