Thanks Wendy!!!!It makes a bit more sense now...and I have another question.
I really feel a calling to my music, and because of this, I have decided
that "what I want to do when I grow up" is to be a professional musician...I
want to try to go to Juliard, and then join an orchestra like the Boston
Pops or such, but I know the propability of that happening to a girl from a
school who can't even afford to send their band to band camp, for
anything!!!lol...anyways, I was wondering if anyone could give me tips or
pointers on how to, well, better my credentials starting now so I can have a
better chance of getting into Juliard...my mom thinks I'm stressing over it
way to much, because I just got out of the 8th grade, so I'm fresh into
highschool, but it's really important to me and I'm very serious about it...
Brightest Blessings,
Kimber the Wrestler

>Kimber here, and I have a question about summer practicing (obviously
>;))hehe...anyways, school's been out for a while, and I've noticed that
>while I practice everyday, I seem to be getting worse rather than
>better...it's really bugging me. I'm having the exact same problem with my
>flute. My grandpa just passed on a few weeks ago, so it could be that I'm
>distracted, but I find this problem every year. I absolutely sound
>horrible.
>I can't play at the same speed, I have trouble memorizing music, I can't
>play a passage right when during the year I could play it in my sleep,
>etc...it bothers me so much, adn I'm wondering if anyone knows why or has a
>similar problem but knows how to cope with it, or something?
>lol...desperate, that I am. I couldn't live without my music, and the way
>it
>sounds now bothers me greatly. My mom and friends and such say it osunds
>great, but not to me. It just isn't of the same quality as it is in school.
>So, pleasse, if you can, help!!!!lol
