In MY experience, the accidental is held, although if the note is then
stopped and REPLAYED in the same measure, the accidental would be CANCELLED
then.
Of course, in my experience, the accidental applies to all octaves, too,
although I do find that very confusing when sight reading, and will pencil
it in as soon as I discover the problem.
